Today a healthcare portal goes completely offline for 3 hours at no fault of their own, leaving many stranded and with out access. This portal wants to stay anonymous, but it does raise a huge concern for all!

Jeff Cline

Many people do not understand how fragile the internet really is at its core and who actually controls it.

FACTS:

ICANN controls all the URLS that point to and from all the connectivity points, most EMR connectivity points and practically all the customer-facing engagement portals.

So with very little effort a crippling blow could send ripples across the industry.

Who controls it?

Who has access?

Can anyone shed light on this, we are seeking help to ensure this does not happen.

Most large companies have a technical staff, and those engineers are the heartbeat of many things. We have seen entire corporations get highjacked by a few dishonest employees or an upset programmer who put in a back door access point.

DOes the healthcare system stand the same danger?

WHat can we do?

Are there Private Options?

More to come!
